Under a Watchful Eye

This game was created for the Ludum Dare #21 in two days, the theme for this competition was “Escape.”

The game is Controlled using the mouse to look, the W,A,S, and D keys to move, Spacebar to jump, Esc to free the mouse up. You goal is to reach a white platform to the right of your entry point, while evading a strange creature.

To decrease or increase visual quality, use the [ and ] keys (respectively). If you need to cheat a bit, < and > keys will let you control how fast time flows.

SPOILER: There is a sure-fire way to win. There is a narrow cleft to your left as you descend into the valley, on the left befor ethe second rock arch. Rush into it while taking few hits, trying to put as much mountain between you and the creature. Then, lead the creature away from the center of the map as it chased you. Then run back to the column of light in the center to claim your goal.

I've made a post-compo version that I will update from time to time. Please refrain from playing that version until after you have voted for this one.

Created for the Ludum Dare #21 between August 20th and 21st, 2011. I used Unity 3.4, Blender 2.58, Gimp 2.6, and Notepad++. Also, I used an old Kodak digital camera for all the textures.
